The UK Manual Handling Association (UKMHA) is delighted to share with you that this year’s Archies will take place on Saturday 14th September 2024 at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.

The Archies

The awards to honour excellence in material handling has been the highlight of the industry’s calendar for over 30 years. A few years ago, it was renamed as The Archies to be more representative of how the industry has evolved, the event now represents the entire spectrum of materials handling. This annual event is when we all come together on one night to celebrate the dynamism within our industry and recognise the ingenious products and special people that make it what it is today.

Every year, entrants seek to win the ultimate accolade: a hand-cast Archie statuette, which we modelled on Archimedes — the father of engineering. The award has become a symbol of distinction within the material handling sector, so to honour this most coveted prize, the event is known as The Archies.

Nominations

We are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the prestigious Archies awards. This is the most respected award in the material handling industry, and we encourage you to submit your nominations today and recognise the hard work of those in the industry.

This is your opportunity to shine and showcase your achievements. Entering is simple, free of charge and open to all (you are encouraged to nominate your own business). Nominations are for products, services or other initiatives launched/brought to market. Closing date: 31st May 2024.

The award nominations are open to both non-members and members of the association.

The winners will be unveiled on Saturday 14th September 2024 at the UKMHA awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. Representatives from across the industry will gather to recognise and pay tribute to the outstanding companies, teams and individuals who have done so much to innovate, raise standards and help operators work more effectively and safely.
