Explore UKMHA’s Innovative Apprenticeship Scheme

The material handling industry plays a vital role in keeping goods and materials moving, whether that is storing, retrieving or transporting.

The UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA) is acutely aware of the challenge across the material handling industry to reduce the skills gap, a key element of this is to help provide skills for young people so that we have a readymade pool of talent to join our industry.

UKMHA is taking important steps to address this talent shortage in the material handling industry. There is currently a limited college provision to provide the relevant skills for young people to join our industry, that’s why we have teamed up with SMB College Group to deliver the first UKMHA apprenticeship scheme for our members and the wider industry in the UK.

From companies considering recruiting apprentices to up-and-coming professionals thinking about entering the industry, our apprenticeship scheme is designed to appeal to everyone in the sector.
