Manual Handling for MHE Technicians

Unlike generic manual handling courses, this course has been specially developed to address typical FLT technician tasks.

Through a combination of theory and practice, learners will gain a thorough understanding of:

• How injuries occur and the importance of lifting correctly
• Assessing the task
• Posture and stance
• Techniques for lifting, manoeuvring and moving loads
• Lifting from different heights
• Van and MHE entry and egress
• Lifting in and out of a van
• Handling of jacks, oil drums and LPG cylinders
• Lifting and carrying as a team of 2 or more persons
• Lifting components from awkward locations

Certificate of attendance to be issued

Duration: Half day (morning and afternoon sessions available)
