This course is intended for forklift technicians and managers looking to improve their understanding of safe lifting practices. Successful completion of the course will provide participants with the confidence to use lifting accessories, such as chains and slings, safely and more efficiently. They will also gain a better understanding of relevant legislation such as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations).
Featuring a mix of classroom-based and practical, hands-on learning experiences, the course is delivered in person by SMB College’s highly qualified instructors.
Covering a wide array of key topics, it is divided into four 90-minute sessions:
Session 1: Legislation and Terminology
Session 2: Slings, Chains and Lifting Accessories
Session 3: Safe Working Practices
Session 4: Practical
The final session will give participants the chance to put their theoretical knowledge to the test in a practical workshop activity.
