Member Audit

The UKMHA Audit is a free of charge membership benefit specifically created for fork lift truck dealers of all sizes, from start-ups to established multi-depot organisations. It ensures consistently high standards and compliance across areas of business operations including safety, health, environmental and risk management.

In an industry where safety is paramount, the Member Audit focuses on legal obligations and working procedures, helping ensure operations are safe and compliant with legislation, also ensuring that changes in best practice are met.

Unlike many other accreditations that only use an online questionnaire, the UKMHA Member Audit involves a physical on-site visit from a compliance manager. Who not only checks and measures compliance, but provides advice, guidance and can also collaborate with the dealer to implement corrective actions.

Even members with a full suite of accreditations such as ISO, Safe Contractor, Achilles etc have found that the Association’s Audit addresses many important areas that others ignore.

The Audit is designed to give customers real peace of mind. As a UKMHA Audit accredited member, they know that the dealer has measured up to an industry-led health check and operates to nationally agreed standards. Clearly differentiating it from unaccredited businesses, therefore removing a potentially weak link of traceability and accountability in the customers supply chain.

All information provided by auditees remains strictly confidential, while the actual route to compliance is thorough but straightforward. Completion of the structured, transparent Member Audit process helps fork lift truck dealers gain a tangible commercial edge in the marketplace. Since the UKMHA provides Audit compliant dealers with an accreditation certificate, compliance logos and straplines, also press-release and website news templates; UKMHA Audit compliance van stickers are also available.

If you have any questions or wish to participate in the Member Audit, please contact the UKMHA Compliance Manager, Lee Medway on [email protected] or 01635 277577
