Peter Van Manen, former Managing Director, McLaren Electronics

Peter van Manen has more than 20 years’ experience with one of the UK’s most successful Formula 1 teams, McLaren. As the former managing director of the company’s electronics, data and technology division he helped the team make the huge advances in performance that enabled them to win several world championships. He also specialises in how the precise use of data and analysis from motorsports can be used to benefit a variety of other industries, including how real-time analysis within ICU units proactively prevents cardiac arrests.

Professor Trevor Williams, former Chief Economist, Lloyds Bank

Professor Trevor Williams is the former Chief Economist at Lloyds Bank. He provides insightful economics overviews and considers how politics, demographics and climate change are shaping the economy. As part of the Institute of Economic Affairs’ Shadow Monetary Policy Committee, Trevor keeps a close eye on the Bank of England’s decisions, especially on interest rates.
